I’ve just received 5 favorites on my recent 20s style nude self portrait, and a handful on similar pieces.
Lets make this clear. I like nudes and I like people to like my work. However, it weirds me out that pretty much the only favorites I get are on my nudes, and usually by people with no gallery and pages and pages of favorites, all nudes.
I know putting work out like this, people may find it exciting, I(when I’m the model) will be objectified. Ok, fine, whatever. But… I don’t like feeling like my art is a page in someone’s book-o-porn. The favorites like that and utter lack of comments make me uncomfortable, but not enough that I stop posting nudes.
Maybe someday it will get to me that much, I don’t know.
Maybe I’m being too narrow minded about the people ing my art.

while my above sentiment still stands, I did, in fact, speak too soon, I've gotten some lovely comments and favs from people who actually bothered to look around my gallery.
